You simply replace your existing toilet seat and install the Deluxe yourself in about 20 minutes. All you need is a water connection and a socket nearby.

Briefly shut off the cold water, mount the T-piece on the shut-off valve.

Does the bidet seat fit my toilet?+
The bidet seat fits many classic U-shaped ceramic toilets with two mounting holes. QuickRelease seats are fine, the hinges unscrew. Only design toilets with hidden fixings and no holes won't work. Not sure? Send us a photo of your toilet in the chat – we'll tell you whether it fits.
Does the bidet seat fit if my toilet seat has QuickRelease?+
Almost always, yes. QuickRelease is a feature of the seat, not the ceramic: the button only releases the seat from its hinges so you can lift it off for cleaning. The hinges themselves are bolted through the two holes and unscrew like any other. So what matters is the ceramic: take the seat off and look for two holes. If they're there, it fits. Only design toilets with hidden fixings and no holes won't work.
Is the Deluxe a Japanese toilet?+
Essentially, yes. Warm water, a warm seat, warm air instead of paper – that has been normal in Japan for decades. The difference: there it is usually built into a whole toilet unit. The Deluxe retrofits the same functions onto the toilet you already have. No new toilet, no remodel.
Does a bidet seat need power?+
The Deluxe does – it heats the water, the seat and the air. You need a grounded outlet with a GFCI within reach; the cord is 1.56 m. No outlet in your bathroom? Then the New Standard is your model – warm and cold, no power at all.
What is the difference between an electric and a non-electric bidet?+
An electric bidet seat like the Deluxe makes its own heat: it warms the water, the seat and the air for drying. That needs an outlet. A non-electric model like the New Standard mixes warm water from your existing hot-water line – no cable, no heated seat, no dryer. Both clean with water. The difference is the comfort around it.
Do I need a hot-water connection?+
No. The Deluxe heats cold water itself – a cold-water connection at the shut-off valve is enough. That is exactly what separates an electric bidet seat from a non-electric one, which has to mix warm water from the line.
How is the bidet seat connected?+
To your existing shut-off valve via a T-piece – much like a washing machine. Tools: screwdriver & wrench, ~20 min. If you’re unsure about the water connection, bring in a professional.
Can I retrofit a bidet seat in a rental?+
Yes. No drilling, no remodeling. The Deluxe mounts on the existing seat holes of your toilet and comes off again with the quick-release button – when you move out, you screw the old seat back on. On the water side it is only a T-piece on the existing shut-off valve, and that comes off too.
What does it cost to retrofit a bidet seat?+
249 euros. Nothing else. No plumber, no remodel, no appointment. T-piece and hose are included – the rest is a screwdriver and twenty minutes.
Can water run back into the supply line?+
The bidet seat has integrated backflow protection – it stops water from running back from the unit into the supply line. The design helps too: the spray arm sits above the water line and only extends when you use it. At rest it is fully retracted and has no contact with the water in the bowl.
What if my water is very hard?+
Worth knowing: with medium to hard water, limescale builds up over time on the nozzle, valves and heater – which can affect water pressure, spray and the lifespan of your bidet seat. Easy to avoid: use our water filter (limescale protection) and descale now and then. You can check how hard your water is in seconds by postal code (water check on this page).
Which hose length do I need?+
100/200/300 cm depending on the distance to the shut-off valve. One hose is included (you pick the length after purchase), extensions in the accessories.
How much power does a bidet seat use?+
Only while you are using it, really. The instant heater draws up to 250 watts – but only during the wash, so a few seconds. The heated seat runs at 50 watts max, and eco mode turns it down when no one is sitting.
How do I clean the bidet seat?+
The nozzle cleans itself before and after every use – you just wipe down the surface. There’s also a cleaning function: the nozzle extends for about 10 minutes so you can wipe it in peace; the shower head can be removed or replaced if needed.
