Living with Crohn's Disease
Fabiola on the advantages of BIDETLITYHi, I'm Fabiola aka MamamitCröhnchen and I live with, among other things, Crohn's disease.
Due to illness, I have to deal with anal fissures, anal vein thrombosis and hemorrhoids. Without really good butt hygiene, my symptoms quickly become unbearable. Over the years, I have developed my own hacks to be as symptom-free as possible. At some point, I came across Bidelity! I knew early on that toilet paper should no longer be part of my butt hygiene, as it irritates the affected areas far too much. So at home, I always preferred a normal shower. When I was out and about, I used damp toilet paper, but that never really got my butt clean and unfortunately irritates it in the long run. Today, I have Bidelity hanging directly on my toilet, so I don't have to take a shower and can easily pack it in my bag when I'm out and about! A huge relief and a much better and gentler feeling for my butt and me.
Crohn's disease
What is Crohn's disease?
Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammation of the digestive tract that can cause symptoms such as abdominal pain and diarrhea. The disease can affect any part of the digestive tract, but it most commonly occurs in the region where the small intestine and large intestine meet.
causes
Treatment for Crohn's disease can vary depending on the severity of symptoms. Common treatment options include anti-inflammatory drugs such as steroids and immunosuppressants, as well as biologics that target specific proteins that cause inflammation in the gut. In more severe cases, surgery may be necessary to remove damaged tissue.
Care
Good hygiene is important to control the symptoms of Crohn's disease. A pod shower can help with this as it allows for thorough cleaning of the anal area without causing irritation from toilet paper. A pod shower can also help reduce the risk of infections and inflammation that can be more common in Crohn's disease patients.
________
“Caring for the buttocks and anal wounds is made much easier with a butt shower, because a butt shower makes it much easier to clean inflamed skin.” - Dr. Daniel Sterzing, Proctological Center Berlin.
